Even as I live through the days towards the end of my life, I can still respect people that have potential. I can easily compare my initial talent and strive developing the early stages of the T to Walt Disney's; in this regard, we are much alike. The true vision needed to manifest the kind of advanced and ahead-of-their-time ideas Walt is known for is more than worthy of merit. I'm sure the popularity of the marriage of sound and animated pictures will extend much further than the present day, and Walt's influence will no doubt be felt in its wake. Steamboat Willie alone should win the man a nobel prize.
Probably the most shocking part of Walt's story is his independence. His stark independence that is rarely seen these days. It is to be noted that in Walt's early career, he was forced to create most of his characters by himself. Even after the controversial fight for control over his biggest original character, Oswald, he started anew, making different, more diverse, readily relatable, and most importantly, funny characters. It's this sense of underlying freedom from other's influence which truly shapes his character. And over all of these traits, Walt still has time to have fun. Stop into his office some time and his radiating happiness will indoubatably rub off on you. Go ahead. Try it once in a while.
As a person who has attained great success throughout his life, I can honestly distinguish that Walt Disney is one of the few people that really have it. The certain have that most people do not usually get. One might speculate exactly what he has.
Happiness? Yes.
Success? Yes.
Freedom? Yes.
